Membrane is real thermal protection. Membrane’s 3mm of closed-cell installation foam rubber does a lot. When applied to your firewall there is a significant decrease in temperatures from your engine. We also found that custom car builders were using a standard “sound deadening” material in their builds, and were unaware that it did not provide adequate temperature adjustments from the outside elements.

 

Each box contains 9 sheets of 18″ X 31.5″ 36 sq ft Thermal Insulator with Sound Dampening material.
